Just photos.

About 150 runners took part in the 9km, 25km and 50km events on 20 October 2013.

Oh that's 150 runners and one plodder.

Top runners in the 25km run.

That must be the rock of Gibraltar range.

Waratah (Burragorang word meaning beautiful) is the floral emblem of New South Wales.
This rare wild flower may be seen on the trails up in the Washpool-Gibraltar range.
A story from the Burragorang dreamtime tells of Krubi, a beautiful young woman who wove her cloak from the bright red hide of the rock wallaby and the crimson crests of the ganggang cockatoo. Dressed in her scarlet cloak, Krubi took up a post high on a sandstone ridge to wait for her love who went off to war. One day Krubi’s young man went with other Burragorang men to battle enemy invaders.  The young man never returned again. Grief-stricken Krubi spent her days waiting on the lonesome ridge where her life ebbed away. Her body blended into the weathered sandstone where she used to wait for her man. From the spot where Krubi died bloomed the first waratah, the most beautiful radiant red flower that you see here.
