Kinky Friedman was a musician, singer, satirist-songwriter, humorist, novelist, columnist, provocative cultural commentor and lots of other things including would-be politician. The latter was the one thing he wasn’t successful at – politics, his definition of ‘poly-ticks’ meaning multiple bloodsucking parasites. Kinky sings about Jesus and the top 10 commandments, you might even like him. Mr Friedman died on the 27th June 2024 aged 79. RIP Kinky.
